Woke up this morning with a bit of a wobbly tummy and ended up doing work emails while I waited for Jean to wake up. We skipped a swim and hung out in the room to catch up for the last morning before heading down to the Club for breakfast.
We took a leisurely breakfast and then headed back to the room so that he could pack. I watched War Horse while he got this stuff together and then we headed down to the taxi that the hotel had organised for him to go to KL Sentral to catch the bus out to the LCCT for his AirAsia flight back to HKG for work.
Shortly after he left I headed down for a swim, but it wasn’t long before KL was blanketed in fog and started to bucket down. While there have been bits of rain during the trip I have been pretty lucky. Anyway I didn’t have any plans but to slowly pack, watch a bit of TV and get ready for my midnight flight myself.
So I spent the afternoon watching some appalling stuff on Astro when the satellite wasn’t disrupted by the rain. This included Click and The House Bunny. Ridiculous lol. But then I watched more recent films Alex Cross and Here Comes the Boom to redeem myself – only to find that they were equally ridiculous.
Early evening I took a nap – because I don’t think I will sleep much between KUL and PER. But we will see.
I headed down to check out of the Hyatt who had kindly arranged a transfer to the LCCT for me. A surprise when it was a 5 Series which was a nice touch.
The drive was pretty quick and I was soon checking in for the AirAsia X flight. No hassle checking in because of the Premium counter – dropped my bag and now I am killing time in the very shitty terminal that is the LCCT. Can’t wait to get going.
Been a great trip. A simple and restful trip for me for the main – which is something I haven’t done for a long time. Was good to get to meet Jean’s family – and in particular his mum. Good stuff.
Let’s board.
